How to Clean Kitchen?

1. Clear the counters of anything that does not belong: straggling mail, cookbooks, permission slips awaiting signatures.

2. Fill the sink with warm water and a couple of squirts of dish soap. Dip in items that require soaking, such as the crisper drawer, the dish rack, along with the microwave turntable.

3. Empty the fridge, tossing anything that has died. Throw dirty food-storage containers to the sink .

4. Dust the large winds, knocking dirt and debris into the ground, where they’ll be trapped later. With a telescoping duster, start right over the sink and work your way round the room, cleaning upper corners, light fixtures, and tops of cabinets. Do not forget the top of the refrigerator. When you are back in the sink, you are ready to proceed.

5. Clean the top cabinets and whatever else on the walls, including a mounted microwave. Spray the microwave inside with dishwashing cleaner and let sit for 2 minutes. (If it is stainless steel, use a cloth moistened with diluted white vinegar, instead of soapy water, to wash any fingerprints.) Then wipe the doorways and the pulls of the top cabinets and whatever else (frames, pins, port grates) you encounter as you circle the room.

6. Wipe the solution from the interior using a dry cloth. It is OK if crumbs fall into the stove or the ground.

7. For stubborn stains, add a powdered wash which will not scratch.

8. Load the dishwasher with the things soaking in the sink, or wash them. Do not drain the sink just yet.

9. Wipe the stovetop using a clean, dry cloth and, again, just let crumbs fall to the ground. It is more efficient to get them in the end. When you are finished, swap out the fabric to keep dirt from moving to a different surface.

10. Wash the coffeemaker, toaster, stand mixer, and other little appliances from top to bottom, using glass cleaner or a multisurface formulation (spray the fabric in place of the appliance) or a cleaning wipe.

12. Look closely at the handles as well as the edges. Use a soft toothbrush or a cloth-wrapped spatula into degrime tight spots, such as the folds of the fridge seal. Next, clean the surfaces of the dishwasher door using an all-purpose formula or a cloth dipped in a solution of hot, soapy water and white vinegar. (You can use this mix to wash the stovetop and the countertops, unless they are marble, granite, or any other porous rock.)

13. Clean the cabinets and drawers with a damp, soapy cloth.

14. Buff the basin using a mild abrasive cleaner and a microfiber fabric; rinse with hot water. Wipe down the faucet and the grips.

15. Empty the garbage, swiping the interior of the can and the inside of the top having a cleaning wipe before replacing the bag.

16. Sweep the floor having an electro-static dry duster, like a Swiffer Sweeper. Get up to the baseboards and under the cabinets, where crumbs can conceal. Pull appliances out to reach the spaces close to the walls. (Dipping a loofah from the spout could contaminate things that finally wind up in your mouth) Dump the dirty water out or down the toilet.

17. Park yourself on the couch. You are done!
